Amanda Tobak of Industrial Chemical Supply graduates from the Stanford Latino Entrepreneurship Program
Amanda Tobak, THCC Board Member and Owner of Industrial Chemical Supply of Arizona and Lea Marquez Peterson, President/CEO of the Tucson Hispanic Chamber graduated recently from the third cohort of the Stanford Latino Entrepreneurs Leaders Program.
The Program hosted 80 entrepreneurs and focused on "scaling" Latino owned businesses over the six week program. The Stanford Latino Entrepreneur Leaders Program was founded in 2015 by the Latino Business Action Network, a Stanford Hispanic Alumni program. The Program is an investment in Hispanic business owners to scale their business through an immersive program that provides owners the education, networks, mentorship and access to capital to grow their business, create jobs and build a stronger economy.
In addition to mentorship, the custom online course is based on a course developed by two Stanford professors, who are internationally recognized as experts in scaling businesses - Professor Huggy Rao and Professor Bob Sutton. The course entitled "Scaling Excellence Through Innovation" speaks directly to the scaling issue that Stanford research highlights as key to the success of Latino Owned Businesses.
