About Jose Canchola
In 1976, José and Carmen Canchola began an annual Christmas gathering for the needy children of Nogales, Sonora Mexico. Along with their family and friends, they served these children a meal on Christmas Day at the McDonald’s restaurant owned by the Canchola’s. As time passed, this annual event grew to serving up to 2,000 children and along the way volunteers and donors came forward to give toys, clothing and to serve the children a hot breakfast on this very special day. Although Christmas Day 2006 would be the last time he would host this special event, to honor José’s memory, we continue his mission to help needy children experience the joy of Christmas and we hope you will join us by supporting the Golf Fiesta!
