The Southern Arizona Candidate Academy was created in 2009. It is a non-partisan Academy and open to anyone who is interested in running for local, state or federal office or anyone interested in working on a campaign.
The Academy has been endorsed by the Pima County Democrat and Pima County Republican Parties. The program has graduated over fifty (50) participants since its inception.

What We Do
The Candidate Academy is facilitated by the Tucson Hispanic Chamber. The Chamber compiles expert speakers from Democrat, Republican and non-partisan entities to teach the attendees about important issues and details in running for office.
Campaign Staff is also welcome to attend and many of the sessions focus on the administrative duties in a campaign as well as the personal, professional, and financial impacts of running for office.
